Your Voice and Prosperity ~ Part 1

Your Voice and Prosperity ~ Part 1

Money, success, relationships, health, intellectual growth and spirituality are interrelated – they are our inner and outer work at one and the same time.

To many women (and men) life seems like an either/or situation. You may dedicate your life to your career and loose your sense of joy and playfulness; you may devote your energy to your family and feel like there just isn’t enough time to exercise daily; and/or you may search and search for the “right” answer for your spirituality and forget that the answer resides right in front of you.

We are ready for something more ~ we are ready to live harmoniously, in balance, with all of the areas of our lives. Attaining balance and equilibrium does not need to be at odds as they contribute to one another.

I recently had a conversation with a loved one about the “reality” of our thoughts and prayers. We were watching a particular motivational speaker, on TV; I shared that I enjoyed listening to him and asked her what she thought of him. She mentioned that she used to listen to him frequently until it dawn on her that his typical message isn’t reality.

I probed further.

She disclosed that he introduces this idea to focus, pray and think about what you want and you will get it. She expressed that this pattern of thought can only cause disappointment. I asked further what she meant. My loved one stated, “Well, if you pray and think about what you want and you don’t get it, then you will continuously be disappointed.”

I didn’t have an opportunity to finish the conversation with her as we had to leave for an event. However, I am glad I had the opportunity to really sink my teeth in to this belief system and discover where I am in my own journey of thought.

It seemed foreign to me that someone else didn’t practice or believe in our power of thought. I also forgot that I have been on my particular spiritual path for over 10 years discovering this very philosophy: I have the power to create the life I really want. Thought is energy, and energy has the power to manifest. (Manifest means to produce, to cause to happen, to bring forth the world of ideas to the physical word of reality.)

If I am of God and this Universe, and God created me from mere thought ~ I am able to do the same and have the ability to create from that world of ideas.

Seems far fetched?

Since I relocated 22 drivable-hours away from my immediate family, it has been a challenge to visit as often as I would like. 3 years ago, I missed experiencing Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in the same year, with my family, due to percieved financial challenges. I decided, on Christmas day, that somehow I was going to change this!

I sat down and wrote out in the present tense of what I saw as my ideal in traveling to see my family (yes this comes straight from my journal!), “I am visiting my family at least once every three months. We take family vacations together and I am financially able to do so.” I left it to the Universe and prayed that God would work it out.

July 2009, I accepted a full-time position with an airline carrier and coincidently, I am able to fly for free! Last weekend, I flew to St. Louis to share a family mini-vacation with my sister and her family and had the opportunity to connect with a long-time friend.

Luck? A fluke? A strange twist of fate?

Perhaps you could say yes.

However, I was specific ~ I consistently envisioned, through my eyes, jet setting across the country to spend time with my family and actually felt how it feels to be living in the joyful moment of sharing space with family.

I also had to take action: write down my vision; regularly envision my vision; wait for the opportunity to arise; and grabbed hold of the opportunity and took the necessary steps to accomplish my goal.

Our thoughts are a reflection of our belief system ~ What you believe is what you achieve. If there is a whisper of disappointment and doubt, God and the Universe grant you just that. “Ask and it shall be given unto you, Seek and you shall find…”

You deserve the life you envision. Your Voice is your empowerment in reaching your Vision~

Say it ~

I deserve the life I envision.

I deserve the life I envision!

I DESERVE THE LIFE I ENVISION!

Time To Find Your Voice: Awakening to Your Inner Voice ~ Silence and Breath

Time To Find Your Voice: Awakening to Your Inner Voice ~ Silence and Breath

Awakening to Your Inner Voice ~ Silence and Breath

"Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you want to be...Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar, and will live as you've never lived before." Erich Fromm

I usually wake up around 4:00am to spend time in meditation and prayer and then time to connect with earth with a hike at one of the many desert mountains close to my home, in Phoenix. It's taken me 5 years to "discipline" myself to commit to create time for just me.

In the last 19 years of my life, I shared my life with everyone. Heck, I handed my life and energy over to anyone who asked: my partner, my foster daughter, my family, my class of students, my work, my blogs, my friends, my church, and anyone else or event that I came across that seemed like a good idea. I experienced many nights where I did not sleep, my weight climbed to it's highest and lowest within six months and many other what seemed to be tragic life events.

Yesterday, I noticed something very special that happened on my morning hike on the mountain. This mountain is located in central Phoenix, and with Phoenix being in the top 5 largest cities in the United States there is a lot of traffic and noise. In fact, at times it is challenging for me to not to hear the noise.

There is a portion of the hike where the trail leads almost straight up the side of the mountain and snakes down in to a small, cactus filled valley. As I push myself to climb what seems to be the most difficult portion of the hike, I envision the valley coming up. I hear sirens, school buses picking up children, cars honking horns and helicopters flying overhead and it seems to fill up all the spaces in my head which makes my climb even more difficult. I focus even harder in the small valley ahead.

Finally, I reach the peak of this mountain and see the valley below. I run down the path to this sanctuary. Ahh.....Breathe. In. Breathe. Out.

It was then I noticed...I hear something different. I hear nothing. I don't feel like I am in the middle of one the nation's busiest cities. I am in the middle of silence and breath. This sanctuary calls out to me, even in my dreams, to be silent...to breathe.

It is hard to "hear" our voice when there is so much noise distracting us from listening to who we are inside. Remember you have all the time there is - there is only this present time. The past is gone and the future hasn't happened. The present is now.

It only takes 5 minutes to start Awakening Your Inner Voice. You have five minutes ~ you are reading this aren't you? :O)

Right now, place both feet on the floor or find a place where you can sit comfortably. Now concentrate on expanding your breath in your belly and hold for 5 seconds. Release for 5 seconds. Do this three times. A quiet calm and your inner sanctuary will eventually come.

Remember this:

You may not know it yet but in your imperfection, you are actually perfect! That is where your “voice” comes from…in the power that comes from loving yourself…imperfections and all!

Finding My Unique Voice

For three months, I took a hiatus.

A vacation from saying "yes" all of the time, a vacation from doing and saying things that did not empower me and a made it a time to rest, review and reassess my life and purpose.

I had created a life that I thought I wanted and I was not finding any joy in the tasks and daily living in my life.

For three months, I allowed myself to feel all of the emotions and started to learn how to live harmoniously with those emotions. I sat with the pleasures of my life and the pains of my life and truly began to see them as completely equal.

"One's personal growth depends on the degree to which we love ourselves, release the shame and fear; accept the responsibility for our choices." Anthony J Benson

I started to accept responsibility that all I see in my life today is only a result of who I was in the past, the choices I made, and the words I spoke - it is all a projection of who I WAS and not who I AM today.

"Remember that there is perfection in everything that has happened in your path." John Castagnini

I began to see the evidence of using words such as " I choose...." instead of "I want"; "I AM..." instead of "I will be" and using the word "Inspired" to make choices of joy. I am evolving out the emotional charges in the areas of challenges in my life. The JOY was there all along - finding the center of my heart, discovering the "knowing-ness" of clarity and deeper breath ~ staying in the State of Presence (God/Spirit). I Found My Voice ~

You may not know it yet but in your imperfection, you are actually perfect! That is where your “voice” comes from…in the power that comes from loving yourself…imperfections and all!
